More complete Directions:To get to Group Area (GA) 20 and 21 turn east on 12th Avenue off Riverside Boulevard. Go about 150 yards east of Riverside Boulevard on 12th Avenue to the one-way unnamed street that runs south and parallel to 12th Avenue. This one-way street will be closed on class days. Park your car on 12th Avenue. Walk east on the one way street about 50 yards. This is where the skating lessons will be. See the red skates on the map above. |
Protective gear - wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and a helmet must be worn. All participants must wear wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and a helmet. This equipment must be purchased; as far as I know, skates and protective gear can no longer be rented in Sacramento, except for use in skating rinks. You can try skating equipment and inline skates in a skating rink at a reasonable price before you buy your own equipment. When you buy skates make sure they fit. It is good to try them out in the store to make sure they are comfortable. The wheels should roll easily. I like The Sports Authority and Big 5. For online shopping, I like www.inlinewarehouse.com/ Class Lesson price: (per student) $25. |
